Ben Affleck has praised his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez with a recent comment, even though they are in the middle of their divorce proceedings.
The actor, 52, paid a compliment to Lopez, 55, following her performance in the upcoming film Unstoppable, which he served as a producer.
During an interview, Affleck appeared alongside his friend Matt Damon to discuss the film and its early reviews. Affleck compared the project to another film of his, "Small Things Like These," which also stars "Oppenheimer" and "Peaky Blinders" actor Cillian Murphy.
"'Unstoppable' is a very different film than this, but in a way, it's similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists," he said. Briefly mentioning the cast, Affleck couldn't help but dwell on Jennifer and talk about her performance in the film.
"Jennifer is spectacular," he said, adding that the film is "another creation that we're really proud of."
"We believed in the right people and 'Unstoppable' is another example of that success," he added.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20 of this year, after two years of marriage. Although the former couple haven't been spotted on the red carpet together since then, the pair were spotted having lunch together in September. While sources said that at the time Affleck and Lopez kissed and held hands, they also confirmed that the pair are moving forward with their split.
Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children. Lopez, on the other hand, has two children with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.
