Tributes have begun for the colossus of Albanian literature, Ismail Kadare. Well-known personalities from Albania and Kosovo have gathered to honor the master of Albanian literature.
The state ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, together with his wife Linda Rama, President Begaj, Lindita Nikolla, as well as Vjosa Osmani and Albin Kurti. Of course, there have been no shortage of people close to the well-known writer, who have spoken their words and brought back their memories with Ismail Kadare.
Alda Bardhyli said:
"I think Kadare went away peacefully, as he thought he had accomplished what is very important for a writer, publishing and revising his entire complete work. This made him calm and I believe he left without worries".
Ylljet Aliçka described Ismail Kadare as a "spiritual father", saying:
"We can call him a spiritual emancipator of Albanian society, beyond his talent as a writer. It is spread all over the world because its literature is enjoyed. He is gone physically, but the work remains and we who knew him closely will always remember him fondly. I have a personal reason for feeling the pain all the more. He promoted me, prefaced books for me, and I consider him a spiritual father".
Preç Zogaj remembered the last conversation with the late writer:
"I have had recent conversations in meetings on the boulevard, we have communicated about literary shows, about shows at "Opinion" about literature. The last time I had an image communication. Earlier I had more intense communications. I am a reader who has read everything of his".
