How to cope with the summer heat when you sleep, but without air conditioning

Summer has officially started and according to weather forecasts, the temperatures will be scorching this year for millions of people around the world. The ideal temperature for sleeping is around 18 degrees Celsius, depending on the people. But if using the air conditioner to cope with the heat is not in your approach, then there are some things you can do to keep the air cool inside the house.

Here are the things you can do to properly cope with the hot summer, which has actually just started:

#1 Freshen sheets and pillowcases often

#2 Put the socks in a bag and put them in the fridge for a few minutes

#3 Use an air freshener (not air conditioner)

#4 Hold a wet towel around your neck

#5 Do not sleep naked (although it may be an idea to feel cool, but in fact the effect is the opposite)

#6 Consider a cooling mattress to sleep on

#7 Block out the sun and heat during the day by lowering blinds or awnings to keep the heat out

#8 Sleep on the first floor of your house

#9 Drink ice water before bed
