
Israel/ Defense Minister resigns

The Minister of Defense in Israel, Benny Gantz, has resigned, due to a disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding plans to end the war in the Gaza Strip. Gantz, in a press conference, said that the prime minister is preventing them from a real victory.
Gantz had set June 8 as a deadline for Netanyahu to present a plan to meet strategic goals, end the war and set up a multinational civilian administration to replace Hamas.
France in early elections! Macron dissolves his cabinet

Emmanuel Macron has dissolved parliament and set June 30 as an election date after his party suffered a heavy defeat against the far-right in the European Parliament. Macron acted swiftly, putting his government at great risk, but on the other hand, also respecting the free will of his own people.
"I have faith in the ability of the French people to make the right choice for themselves and for future generations," he wrote in X, adding that his ambition is to be useful to the country he loves so much.

Belgium/ Prime Minister resigns from office

The Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, will resign after his government had a poor result in the European Parliament elections. He said clearly that his government lost and that he will immediately resign, adding that the signal of these elections was more clear.
His resignation will be submitted to King Philippe, who also has the power to reject it. In the European Parliament elections, Alexander De Croo's liberal party suffered a heavy blow, after the apparent dominance of the Flemish nationalist party, which received more than 22% of the vote. Mexico/ Dead fish cover dried up lagoon

Thousands of dead fish have covered the Bustillos lagoon, near the Anahuac area, as temperatures soared above 40 degrees Celsius. Water levels in the lagoon are super low, causing dead fish to appear on its surface due to lack of water.
"When the amount of water decreases, pollutants become more concentrated and therefore they also affect the species that live here", said Irma de la Pena, head of the Department of Ecology
