Mistakes in the morning shows and the dramatic situation of the media in Albania

I don't often listen to morning shows, almost never, so when I saw on Anabel's account that two journalists, Valbona Mhilli and Ermal Qori, misinformed the public on the show "Good Morning Albania", I couldn't help but listen to the video .

"The Holausks, the first prisoners arrived at the Audjkfjqdsdvaf camp", said Valbona and then, supported by Ermali, they blamed the German language for the lack of information about one of the most notorious camps, Auschwitz. (Let's say it in unison: Auschwitz!)

Anabel's post took off and during that day and beyond, I found her on every social network, expressed in various forms. Of course, I was very sorry for the level of journalism, since I don't know German either, but I know the history of the concentration camps and I know that Auschwitz is among the greatest wounds in history and, without a doubt, the bloodiest mark in the history of the state German. I believe I learned it sometime in the seventh grade, without ever having to go to journalism school or take a German course.

Then, I read that both journalists left RTSH and Ermal Qori made a reaction on his Instagram account: "Clarification for the public, colleagues and all well-wishers who sent hundreds of messages and phone calls today: THE NEWS IS NOT TRUE MY VACATION FROM RTSH (Albanian Radio Television), don't distort the truth!", he said.

"I have decided to no longer be the author or moderator of the program "Good Morning Albania", to which I have given my energy and my face, taking it from 0 and raising it to TOP. My face is worth more than any other form, I do not negotiate with anyone for anything, I have refused and refuse to be a part of arrogance, ignorance and any other form of compromise! Journalism is my profession, my passion and I am me, without a mask, without gloves, without compromises and with a lot of work, reading, dedication to serve the important mission of the media. Whoever knows me knows well that I am not built on scandals but on work and a lot of work", he continued.

Then, Ermali said:

"My journalism is editorial, it is genuine and research work, part of which is the terrain of politics, war reporting and even international reporting. Chance didn't get me anywhere, training and dedication did. Thanks to the public, to those who believed in me from day one, I will be who I am, true to my last breath! See you soon! Hugs".

After breaking away from Ermal's embrace, let's return to reality. Why is it so difficult for such journalists, before speaking with complete conviction in a column, to learn two things first? Today, in the world we live in, it's a shame not to click on Google, with your finger or mouse and read stories that the whole world knows.

But why is this happening in the Albanian media?

I am not a professional to do such a study, let's be clear, but I am a curious person, who will be informed (the Aquarius in me always raises head). Since I have often noticed a negligence in the way the news is delivered, or even a lack of desire from the speakers, I think something needs to change. I don't know where the problem is, the pay, the lack of inspiration, the lack of desire, the fact that maybe it's just considered 'a job and let's get it over with', but I want to tell everyone that the public understands very well what 'you are doing.

I, beyond the TV screen or technological devices, can perceive what mood the speaker is in and how he gets stuck when there is no information on the topic he is dealing with. In my opinion, the genesis of the problem starts here: WHEN THERE IS NO INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT THAT IS BEING DEALED!

How can anyone talk about something they don't know? Moreover, in a public television, which is paid for by the taxes of the people who follow it and give it the most precious thing: Time! It is a total lack of respect and consideration for the followers and people who bother to pick up the remote and listen to the show and this column.

Today, "Good Morning Albania" started with two young journalists, Krisa Caushi and Marjo Merhorin. I sincerely hope that no more misinformation will happen and that journalists will take their work more seriously. It costs nothing to review the article, confirm the source, and read up on the topic to be discussed. We at Anabel do it often and we will never stop doing it. :)
