Prime Minister Robert Fico has had another operation, the fourth in a row, after the assassination attempt on him at the beginning of last week. The news of this other intervention was communicated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in Slovakia.
Robert Fico, 59, was shot by a 71-year-old writer, who was immediately arrested. Although the incident was suspected to be politically motivated, it was also said that the writer did not belong to any party but had participated in several protests against the government.

Joe Biden said in the speech at the graduation ceremony at Morehouse College that he hears the voices of students protesting the war that is happening in Gaza and admitted that the images from this conflict are distressing. According to Donald Tusk, the Polish Prime Minister, the project called "Eastern Shield" has already started and aims to increase military fortifications.

An as yet unidentified man has attacked several people with a knife in Zoffingen. He injured passers-by indiscriminately before the police arrested him. The victims were immediately taken to the hospital.
"Several bystanders were injured in an indiscriminate knife attack in the northern Swiss town of Zoffingen, about 50 kilometers south of Basel and the German border," local police said. It is believed that the man first attacked a person at the train station. People were advised to avoid the area where the crime took place.
