3 things to do if you feel pressured to have a "summer body"

If there's one time of year when oysters feel more pressure than ever, it's the approach of summer. The beach, swimwear, sun exposure and all the light clothing makes everyone feel more pressured for lines that are nowhere near perfect.

Psychologist Alexis Conason says that you should always remind yourself that it is not your body that is the problem, but the external pressure that destroys self-confidence and self-confidence.

"When I talk about diets and the perfect body, remember the fact that there is a multibillion dollar weight loss industry invested in making people believe that there is something wrong with our bodies," says Conason.

No body is perfect, so remember that regardless of the seasons, you should always be grateful for what nature and you yourself have invested over the years, which is called body and organism. So, remember these three things to somehow remove the "burden" and pressure for the summer body from your shoulders.

#1 Don't "feed" your brain with social media feeds alone

Almost all social networks give a false dimension of beauty by making people feel bad about themselves after seeing photos and videos of super-cured bodies and perfect lines. The suggestion of the professionals is not to be "fed" only with the product that comes from social media, but to see it only as fun to pass the time and not as pressure that pushes you towards negative thoughts in relation to your body and appearance.

#2 Remind yourself that the body is not your problem

Don't be tempted by advertisements and marketing campaigns about ideal diets, perfect bodies or slimming drugs, because behind them there is an entire industry that does not necessarily mean the perfect body. The body is not the problem, but your thoughts. Therefore, learn to channel the external pressure that comes from all sources and appreciate the physique you have, regardless of the season, whether summer or winter.

#3 Show your body some gratitude

We live in a culture that teaches us to see ourselves as engines, ready for work, family commitments, children and everything else on the margins of feeling productive all the time. Imperfections are a part of life, but not to the point where they sink you, especially for the aesthetic aspect and appearance. Therefore, you are grateful for the body and lines you have, without obsessing over the perfection advertised by social media, television, advertisements, etc.
