Emma Stone has stated that she would like to be called by her real name and not by her stage name. In an interview for "The Hollywood Reporter" published on Wednesday, she said: "I would like to be Emily."
Stone explained that the reason why she chose the name Emma Stone was because another actress was named Emily Stone.
"Then I got scared. I don't know what drove me, but two years ago I just decided that no one would call me Emma. Call me Emily," said the actress.
She further says that the people she works with and those she is close to simply call her "Em".
People reacted to this request by writing: “So nice that Emily Stone is making this request. Too bad that her profession has asked her for a unique name".
"I'm going to call Emily from now on," writes another; "I like Emily more," writes a third.
Earlier, Stone has shown that he didn't mind the stage name because he thought it was beautiful, but now it's not the same.
