The Grammy Awards were held last night (Feb. 4, 2024), and as usual, there were both beautiful and awkward moments. All the eyes of the world were on the prestigious award ceremony and of course such moments were not spared.
We start with beautiful moments:
Taylor Swift made history
Tay won his 13th award for the album "Midnight" and of course, hinted that a new album is coming. Fans think it is related to the second recording of the album "Reputation". Meanwhile, as far as the album goes, a new single, "The Tortured Poets Department" will arrive in April this year and people think it is related to a story with her ex, Joe Alwyn.
Dua Lipa started the party!
Dua Lipa kicked off the party on the Grammys stage, where she danced, had fun, and created an iconic moment with her song "Houdini."
Miley Cyrus sings the song that won her a Grammy, "Flowers"
Miley Cyrus hasn't toured in a while, so her return to the Grammys was just fantastic. She performed the song "Flowers", dressed as Tina Turner. Everything about her look, from her hair to the confidence she displayed on stage was simply phenomenal.
Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the ceremony
The 55-year-old singer made a surprise appearance at the Grammys ceremony, after a long time away from the public eye, as she suffers from "Stiff Man Syndrome". She appeared to give the "Best Album" award to Taylor Swift and before that, she said: "Thank you everyone...When I say I'm happy to be here, I mean it with all my heart."
Annie Lennox paid tribute to the late singer, Sinead O'Connor
Annie Lennox retired in 2007 from music, leaving her former partner in music, Dave Stewart to perform the song "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" alone, but she still couldn't miss the Grammys. She honored the late singer Sinead O'Connor with her legendary song "Nothing Compares 2 U", thrilling the audience.
Awkward moments:
Travis Scott surprised people when he got hot with…a chair
Travis Scott performed his songs on a stage covered in smoke and big boxes, when at one point, he started to slam a chair to the ground while singing his hit "Fe!n". The moment was a little weird and awkward, anyway…
No more awkward than Taylor ignoring Celine Dion
People noticed a detail from the Grammys and were quick to write it on X (formerly Twitter): Taylor Swift ignored Celine Dion, where she presented the award for "Best Album". People were a little disappointed that Tay didn't even lay eyes on music legend Celine Dion, although later the chicks met and chatted and even took pictures.

Jay Z criticizes the Grammy Awards
Jay Z slammed the Grammy Awards while accepting his Dr. Dre Global Impact. The music producer took to the stage and during his speech, claimed that Beyoncé deserved "Album of the Year", even though she never received it as an award. He said that he always wanted the Grammy Awards to show the importance and influence of artists in culture.

He looked at his friend and said: "I don't want to embarrass that lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and she has never won "Album of the Year", adding: "Think about it. There are more Grammys, there isn't one for "Album of the Year". This doesn't work."
