Samanta Karavella and Kejsi Tola are not the only ones who have withdrawn from the competition of this year's edition of the "Song Festival". During the "Dancing with the stars" show, Sardi Strugaj announced that he too will not compete this year.
"It's the first time I've said it. I have withdrawn from the 'Song Festival' due to personal issues related to the festival. But I will clarify in the future," he said.
Samantha withdrew from the race because it was taking more time, while Casey Tola has not spoken publicly about the decision. Arian Demolli, Samantha's manager, said that the singers' attraction at the same time was a coincidence.
Their decision to withdraw from the competition led to a theory circulating online that Elsa Lila has been pre-announced as the winner.
The Song Festival will be held from 19-22 December 2023. Voting will be the same as last year: The public will decide via televoting who will represent Albania at Eurovision 2024 and the jury will select the winner of the festival and the prizes others.
