Demi Lovato has spoken openly about 'daddy issues' and her previous romantic relationships with people older than her. During the episode of "The Howard Stern Show", Demi referred to these relationships as "disgusting", while comparing her previous relationships with the one she currently has with partner Jordan Lutes.
Note: In Albanian, there is no corresponding term for "daddy issues", so in the following we will use the term in English, which is literally formed from "daddy" and "issue/problem" and is used to describe a person who has unconscious impulses and attachments as a result of a poor relationship with the father.
"I can confidently say that there are no more 'daddy issues' inside me", said Demi and argued that: "I think there are some signs (that show this). I am (relating) to a partner who is the same age as me. When I look back in time (about relationships with older men), I think (those relationships) are disgusting."
The singer of "Sorry Not Sorry" has been in a relationship with Wilmer Valderrama, with whom there is an age difference of 13 years. She also talked about her healthy relationship with Jordan Lutes and expressed that she hopes to marry and start a family with him.

She emphasized that their relationship is magnetic and they laugh and have fun together all the time. "I think when you find someone who makes you feel safe and who you're attracted to, who you laugh with constantly...that's the formula for a fantastic relationship," Demi said.
Lovato met the Canadian artist thanks to their collaboration on the album "Holy Fvck" and said that he found him very sexy. "I sent a message to my friends and told them that he is so sexy," said the singer.
