For the academic year 2023-2024, the 8.5 average will no longer be necessary for students who will be enrolled in priority branches. The list is published in the Official Gazette.
The government decided to remove the average criterion in order to encourage graduates to choose to study for priority branches. If they choose these branches and maintain an average of 9.5 during the years of study, students will benefit from a monthly scholarship equal to the minimum salary (40,000 ALL).
The Agricultural University of Tirana has the highest number of priority branches because the agricultural sector is considered the main one for the economy. Here's the full list:
