We know the next promise is a vigorous gym session in January, but why shed pounds after the holidays when you might not gain them at all? You can eat everything, but in moderation and in the right way. What should you consider in order not to gain weight during the New Year?
1.
Continue with your eating routine. Try to eat the same things at the same times.
2.
Choose foods that are low in calories and sugar.
3.
Walk as much as possible. A panettone here, one there we know, but you can walk to digest it.
4.
Pack a healthy meal and take it to work. So you won't be tempted by invitations to lunch out.
5.
Be careful with the portions. You can eat everything, but a little at a time.
6.
Every 1 hour stand for 10 minutes.
7.
Water instead of alcohol.
8.
Focus on the food when you eat. Be slow and do not engage with the phone or TV.
9.
Don't forget fruits and vegetables.
Don't forget to write down all the year-end plans so that you don't cook at home, or consume twice unnecessarily. Start new traditions that don't involve food. Take your girlfriends and instead of a dinner, attend a concert, art gallery or a tour to see the city lights.
