Actress Patricia Arquette has been completely candid about the pressure from Hollywood, social media, and society in general when it comes to aging.
Arquette has been acting since the age of 19 and over the past 35 years has starred in many successful films and television series.
This means that she knows quite well the strict rules of Hollywood regarding physical appearance. The 54-year-old says there is a "real pressure to look a certain way".
And while Patricia admits that "everyone should do what they want with their face," she still doesn't deny that she might have to make some changes if she's going to keep up with the industry's demands.
Therefore, the actress has shown that she is seriously considering undergoing a surgical intervention.
"This is my face and I have thought about it quite a few times that one day I will decide to do a face lift", she says.
But the fact that she is considering playing by Hollywood's "rules" doesn't mean that the 54-year-old isn't aware that these demands can sometimes be absurd.
"There's really a lot of pressure on actresses to look weird and unrealistic. You don't have to age. You have to always be considered attractive. You can be 50, but you have to look at least 35."
