Flights are exciting, even more so if you're heading to a new place to visit people you love. On the other hand, the time spent on the plane is stressful and there are people who experience it with anxiety. It's OK to feel insecure, and you should know that you're not alone. The next step is to try to reduce negative thoughts and take care of your mental and physical health during this time. There are some seemingly small habits that help you manage your emotional toll while flying.
1. Write something
Write the letter you've always wanted to write. Think of a loved one and write down what you would like to say to them. Or a list of things to do once you get back from your trip. Either or, a list of things you want to buy.
2. Breathing therapy
You have no idea how liberating deep breathing therapy is. It will calm you down and you will see how different the moment that was previously very stressful will seem to you.
3. Get involved in your facial care routine
Who said you can't take care of your skin when you're on a plane? Massage with your hands or take out your serum and paint your face because you're not only taking care of yourself, you're also relaxing.
4. Try to take a nap
So you won't even know the plane is landing.
5. Read a book
Take your favorite book and read it right on the plane. If for one reason or another you forgot it, download it online.
6. Eat something you really enjoy
Hmmm, food is therapy in itself. Think about it first, then pull it out of the bag. Extend the moment of eating as much as possible and enjoy it with your eyes closed.
