Immediately after Grida Duma confirmed that she will withdraw from her mandate as a member of parliament, it was said that moderator Ori Nebijaj will be in Duma's place.
Initially, it was said that Nebijaj had accepted the mandate of deputy, but it was unclear what would happen to her television career. Until Ori himself reacted through a post on Instastory, which he calls "clarification mainly for the media".
"When I got involved in politics I had the right time to think and make the decision to engage in the campaign. I did it with all my heart not only to support my political strength, but also because I had thousands of people who with their vote they supported my political commitment. Due to the events that have happened in the last few days, the issue of the mandate has returned with an even greater weight and responsibility for me. Beyond the headlines that have occupied the portals and with all the changed circumstances I have to take my time again to reach a decision that is in balance with the trust that thousands of voters gave me in the election, but also with the relationship and the contract I have with my media family. Everything in life needs its time." - said Ori, thus confirming that there is still no official decision from her side.
Currently, Ori is the moderator of "Perputhen" on Top Channel, a program entrusted to her during this season.
