Ajola Xoxa has dedicated the last posts on Instagram to two of her most important people: her grandfather and grandmother. The latter celebrates its 88th anniversary and Ajola did not spare to share with her followers pieces from her grandmother's special life and the rare love story she was lucky enough to experience.
"In the first photo, my grandmother Ganimet Vendresha, is 25 years old. Today she turns 88 years old. The youngest of 8 children. At 16, she left for Moscow, to study at the Bolshoi Theater Ballet School, and on this trip I met my grandfather. They lived there for 8 years and when they returned they founded the Ballet School and later, they were the first directors of ballet in the establishment of the first Opera and Ballet Theater in Albania.
Grandfather had a passion for photography, leaving us an immeasurable wealth. Also, he kept a diary until the end of his life. I started reading it when I was little and it is one of the first love stories I read through my grandfather's own words, from boy to man. It is even more beautiful. Their love (and life) has been like what we all dream of: true, endless, invincible, shadowless.
From time to time, Ajola Xoxa shares on her Instagram account snippets of old memories of her graceful grandparents, who clearly stand out for their elegance and special style during those years.
