Ronela's newest song, "Dance" - has an interesting clip that revolves around a wedding, where the bride is of course her.
Find what?
All guests, including the "bride" herself, are dressed in black. As the guests and the bride sing and dance to Ronela's song - which is actually about suffering and lost love, it makes us think that maybe the black symbolizes the "death" of an impossible love?
Sometimes, the black veil also symbolizes that "the bride is equal to the groom" (Via WeddingFrontier), or simply "breaking the rules", rebellion.
The end of the clip closes with a white sheet coming out of the window.
According to the custom of some cultures, the bride's virginity is tested by looking for blood stains on a white sheet after the wedding night. Ronela clearly ironizes the futility behind this custom.
