Ukraine has formally severed all diplomatic relations with Russia since February 24
The statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference. Zelensky also ordered weapons to be distributed to veterans and any Ukrainian citizen who will defend the country.
So far at least 8 people have lost their lives from the attacks, while frightened citizens are bathing from Kiev.

Australian PM calls Russia's attack on Ukraine "brutal" and "unprovoked"
Australian leader Scott Morrison has condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, calling it brutal, adding that Russia is flagrantly violating international law and the UN charter.
"Russia chose war," he told a news conference today, announcing new sanctions on 25 individuals and four Russian financial institutions.
Morrison said the new sanctions would target army commanders, deputy defense ministers and Russian mercenaries who are "responsible for unprovoked and unacceptable aggression," as well as businesses involved in the development and sale of military technology and weapons.
EU High Representative: Russia's attack on Ukraine one of the darkest hours for Europe since World War II
According to Josep Borrell, this invasion is the darkest moment for Europe in 80 years. The EU High Representative promised Ukraine urgent support from European countries.
After talks with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Borrell said sanctions from the 27-member bloc against Russia would be "the toughest package of sanctions ever implemented".
Von der Leyen said he would introduce "massive and strategic" sanctions against Russia for approval later today.
British leader on Russian attacks: "Disaster for our continent."
Through a message on Twitter, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson publicly gave his support and assistance regarding the situation created in Ukraine.
"I will also talk to the other G7 leaders and I am calling for an urgent meeting of all NATO leaders as soon as possible," he wrote in a post published a little while ago.
