The decision to buy milk chocolate from a father from Virginia turned into auspicious after he returned with $ 1 million.
Dennis Willoughby from North Chesterfield went to buy milk chocolate for his kids when he decided to get a scratch lottery ticket, Virginia lottery officials said.
The ticket, a $ 1,000,000 Platinum Jackpot, turned out to be the top prize winner. The odds of winning it are 1 in 1,632,000, lottery officials said. He was offered to receive the full prize in annual payments for 30 years or $ 640,205 in cash due to taxes.
He chose cash. It's not really $ 1 million, but it's enough to buy a lot of milk chocolate.
