Squats, glute bridges and other exercises can be fantastic for the legs and buttocks, but these are not the only ones. Surely you had not thought that the same or similar effect can be given by certain Yoga positions.
On days when you don’t want to work with squats, yoga instructor Niceole Calhoun, PhD, has some choices.
"Very heavy squats can cause pain in the knee and sometimes even in the lower back. In those who think you need rest, but still do not want to do anything about the buttocks, there are some things you can do ".
Calhoun suggests these 6 poses:
- Standing fire hydrant
- High lunge pulse
- Chair pose with lifted toes
- Single-leg chair
- Curtsy squat
- ëarrior 3
These weight-bearing movements work on different areas of the muscles, especially in the buttocks. Learn here how they are made and what they are:
