It is often said that pregnant women should not eat foods that have raw meat and eggs. However, we generally limit only raw meat and eggs, without paying attention to foods that contain these as ingredients. Here are some foods that are most likely to have dangerous bacteria like E. coli or Listeria:
Smoked salmon
Many women know that sushi should not be eaten during pregnancy, but in fact the same goes for smoked fish. Fish should always be cooked at a minimum temperature of 63 degrees, which is not the case with smoked fish.
Hot dog-un
According to experts, hot dogs and other uncontrolled foods (sausages stay for days and no one knows how many) are often contaminated with Listeria. But if the craving for hot dogs has really gone away, before you eat it make sure it is well cooked at a much higher heat than usual.
Unpasteurized fruit juice
Although smoothies and squeezed juices at the moment are increasingly popular, if you are pregnant do well to avoid them. They do contain a lot of vitamins that are good for the baby, pork or some juices like orange, which are unpasteurized and in addition, fast cutting and squeezing allows a lot of bacteria to enter.
Marinated seafood
As with smoked fish, marinating is done in the cold. Beware of marinated seafood because it contains a large amount of bacteria, although salt may be thought to kill them. Nothing like heat!
Pjepri
Melon is known as a carrier of germs because the fruits that grow in the soil, where bacteria like E. coli or Listeria grow. These generally stay on the surface of the fruit skin, so be sure to wash it well before peeling.
Ordinary or spicy sausage
Sausage is processed cold, using fermented meats, which can contain a lot of listeria, which all meats have when not processed on high heat. Better avoid them, no matter how much they eat.
Homemade Caesar sauce
Pregnant women should not consume foods that contain well-cooked eggs, such as home-made sauces.
Tiramisuja
Like sauces, the creamy filling of Tiramisu is made with unripe eggs. If you do not know for sure that tiramisu is egg-free, better choose another dessert.
