Socio-economic life seems to be on the open, although it will be accompanied by the measure of physical distancing, masking and maintaining hygiene. In her speech in the Assembly, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, spoke about the vaccination process and the facilitation of measures.
"It is a fact that we already have a halving of the bi-weekly incidence per 100,000 inhabitants and there is a significant decrease in hospitalizations from the weeks left behind, thus reducing the positivity which is already 4% on average." - said the minister.
"Today there are about 100,000 citizens who have received both doses of the vaccine, providing better protection against the dangerous virus," she wrote on Facebook. "We are determined to intensify anti-covid vaccination, but this is a moment that calls us all to more responsibility, to respect anti-covid rules, to keep the epidemic in control in the country."
Reducing the number of infected people will enable the gradual liberation of socio-economic life. Manastirliu did not mention when the measures will be eased, such as the schedule of movements, but stressed that the experts of the Technical Committee are assessing the epidemiological situation.
"Our experts of the Technical Committee are dynamically evaluating the measures, but everything will depend on the progress of the epidemic. The gradual liberation of socio-economic life must necessarily be accompanied by measures of physical distancing, masking and maintaining hygiene, so as not to take steps backwards and continue to set forward in this last kilometer to return to normalcy so much desired. ”
In early April, Manastirliu said that "the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer every day and more" as a result of the vaccination campaign. At the same time, in an interview for the show "Dola te Ola" on News24, the Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj, said that the country is moving towards opening. According to him, this month Albania will be fully opened.
