Many of the things we can do for a healthier relationship are even the simplest ones. Many therapists and psychologists remind us of how important these small actions are to building closeness and trust.
Find ways that work for you and start practicing these habits:
1. Practice free and open communication. Motivate each other to talk about everything and be aware that you are there for each other.
2. Cultivate common interests. Cook together at home, enroll in a course, etc.
3. Communicate throughout the day. The dynamics of work and life in general, can make you "forget" to talk to each other. If this happens regularly, then are you in a relationship?
4. Pay attention to the little things. Your partner can give you signs of help or dissatisfaction in many aspects of life. Try to understand what is happening to them and apply point 1: Communication!
5. Do the housework together.
6. Remember to compliment each other. A nice word can change the whole course of the day.
7. Do an activity that makes you laugh: Humorous program, a movie, a challenge, etc.
8. Evaluate each other: By deeds and words. Even the little things.
9. Debates and quarrels of a day, make sure you resolve them that day. That way you will not sleep anxious or upset.
10. Take time to say goodbye, say good morning, goodbye and go - as lovers, not as good friends or acquaintances.
11. Say "I love you". After a long relationship (or not), this starts to take for granted. Why not say it more often?
12. Arrange small surprises for each other. A good breakfast, a romantic dinner at home, you know better than that.
13. Go to bed at the same time.
