Brushing your teeth can be an essential part of your daily routine, but as it turns out, you may be doing something wrong.
Video of the Malaysian dentist, Dr. Gao Jye Teh, has gone viral on TikTok after he told people how much toothpaste they should throw in the brush to wash their mouth.
He makes a comparison by explaining that the amount thrown in the ads of toothpastes is not the right one.
He then shows how much pastry is needed for children under the age of 3 and for adults.
An almost negligible amount is needed for young children, while for adults only a piece of paste the size of a pea is needed.

Meanwhile, the dentist Dr. David Gordon says there is more risk from overuse of pasta than from underuse.
Fluoride in toothpaste helps protect teeth by remineralizing enamel and preventing decay. However, Gordon says too much fluoride in the body, which can be caused by accidental ingestion of toothpaste, can lead to kidney and gastrointestinal problems.
Moreover, excessive use of the paste can lead to a less thorough cleaning.
