Gina Huynh, known until now as "Victim 3" in the indictment against Sean "Diddy" Combs, has made a turn that no one expected: she has come out publicly by name, not to testify against Diddy, but to request parole for him, before the final decision is announced on October 3.
In a letter that Diddy's lawyers submitted to the court, Gina describes the artist as a "family man" and says that "he hasn't been violent for a long time," adding that she has seen him change for the better after their relationship ended.
She writes that she knows Diddy beyond the charges and believes he will not violate the terms of his release. Furthermore, she believes his release would also help the "healing process for all involved."
But let's remember: Gina was one of the victims the prosecution cited as being forced to engage in sexual acts in exchange for financial gain, through pressure and intimidation by Diddy. She never testified in court, and for a long time prosecutors were unable to even locate her.
A little context for those who haven't followed Diddy's "series":
- He was found guilty of two charges: transportation for the purpose of prostitution, but was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and criminal organization.
- He is awaiting sentencing and faces up to 20 years in prison.
- Violent videos, shocking evidence and a long list of ex-partners are part of the file.
However, if this list of former partners follows Gina's example, luck seems to be smiling on the producer again.
