Julia Roberts may not be afraid of the dark, but one actress managed to give her the shivers.
The audience first fell in love with her in the 90s with the movie "Pretty Woman," and now she returns to the screen with the crime drama "After the Hunt." But during the filming of this film, one of the participating actresses really scared her.
In a recent interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," where the film starring Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield was discussed, the conversation took an interesting turn when the moderator asked Julia about a colleague who, according to rumors, had really intimidated her at work.
Julia Roberts revealed that it was "the wonderful Chloë Sevigny, who neither Ayo nor I had met before. Luca has worked with her several times, because she is extraordinary."
The moment of fear occurred during a rehearsal at Roberts' home.
"We were rehearsing in my kitchen, a pleasure and a privilege. We were focused, with our heads down. Suddenly, the producer came in from the living room and said, 'Chloe should be here in a few minutes,'" she said.
At that moment, Roberts turned to Ayo and said, "I'm scared."
She wasn't alone in that feeling. Roberts' daughter, who was there, also felt embarrassed and politely left to avoid the encounter.
On the other hand, director Guadagnino didn't understand why there was so much excitement in the air. Roberts, describing Sevigny as "extraordinary," implied that her reputation alone was enough to create a sense of fear or deep respect.
Julia said that when the actress opened the door to welcome her, she tried to look as "sweet and pleasant" as possible and greeted her with a "hello" confused by nervousness.
