In the last 24 hours, 117 people tested positive for Covid-19 out of 585 tests performed, while 2 patients hospitalized for days lost their lives.
In daily communication, the Ministry of Health urged citizens not to reduce vigilance, as the pandemic situation is still aggravated in the country.
"The past week has shown an increased trend of confirmed positive cases, increased hospitalizations, patients who have needed treatment in intensive therapy but also intubated patients. Unfortunately, we have also had an increase of citizens who have lost their lives. We currently have community transmission of the virus in some municipalities of the country It is a serious epidemiological situation of Covid 19 in all elements of its assessment. "This situation requires reflection from the citizens not to lower the vigilance, respecting the established measures, and the businesses by implementing the security protocols."
Currently, 85 people are hospitalized, 10 of them in intensive care and 4 intubated, in serious condition.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 41 cases in Tirana, 9 cases in Shkodra, Kavaja, 7 in Korca, 6 cases in Puka, Lezha, 5 cases in Durres, Kurbin, 4 cases in Kruja, Mirdita, Tropoja, 3 in Fier, from 2 cases in Kolonjë, Lushnje, Vlorë, Mat, and from 1 case in Memaliaj, Ura Vajgurore, Pogradec, Kamëz, Berat, Elbasan.
