This year, the matura exams will take place, but the graduation evening party will not. Such news was given by the Minister of Education, Besa Shahini, during yesterday's communication on Facebook.
While answering the questions of the graduates, Shahini clarified that returning to school is not mandatory and the doors of the schools are being opened exclusively for the graduates.
"Returning to school is not mandatory. We are opening schools for graduates exclusively because you have asked to have consultations with your teachers before taking the matura exam. So, if you feel that you can take the matura exam without this consultation, you can stay home during this time, work individually, but you must notify the school principal before May 11, in order to plan the reduction of students. through classrooms and social distancing for those who go to school ?.
Regarding the famous holiday, which has historically symbolized the finalization of the Gymnasium years, Shahini said that this year it will not be possible to realize it, because the gatherings are still high risk.
"Unfortunately, not. Graduation evenings will not be allowed. These are holidays that do not enable social distancing between students, so this year they should be canceled and we should find other ways to celebrate, ?she concluded.
