During the last communication, the Minister of Education Besa Shahini stated the decision taken regarding the opening of schools. Shahini stated that a partial opening of schools will be made, adding that the Matura exams will not be postponed.
"The partial opening of schools will be realized by applying all the rules. The reason we will not open all schools is the high number of students and because some schools have been damaged by the earthquake. This year will close in June. The state matura exams will be held June 8-18, 2020. The fifth and ninth grade exams will be canceled. We will only open schools for graduates on May 18 to June 5, "she said.
To be as protected as possible, the minister added that there will be a reduction in the number of students, adding that there will be a reorganization in the classrooms.
?The number of students cannot be more than 15 students in a class. In order to achieve such a low number of students, 9-year schools that are close to high schools will also be used. There will be accurate regulations for the whole teaching process, based on the orders of the Institute of Public Health. This regulation will be distributed in a few days so that everyone has the opportunity to disinfect schools and take measures. "
