In the fruit and vegetable market in Kombinat, citizens were not respecting any of the recommended or ordered measures. In the photos published by Dosja.al, there is an influx of people, next to each other without equipment.
Following these disturbing images, Erion Veliaj, the mayor of Tirana, and Olta Xhaçka, the Minister of Defense, inspected the market premises and took the necessary measures to prevent rallies similar to today's.
From Monday, the movement towards the market will be only one-way, the stalls will be two meters apart and at the entrance will be placed a hygienic tunnel for disinfection of citizens.
"If we have an extreme situation and disobedience again, we may be forced to close the market altogether," Veliaj said.
Since the Kombinat market is the most problematic, according to the article by the Municipality of Tirana, the police or the army will accompany all buyers who violate the rules of distancing or signage.
