The famous singer says she was kidnapped, drugged and raped

Aimee Duffy, the Welsh singer known as Duffy who left public life after the release of the successful Rockferry album, said he was drugged, kidnapped and raped by an unknown man.

In a statement posted on her Instagram, she writes: "The truth is, and believe me when I say I'm fine now, that I was raped, drugged, and held hostage for days. Of course I survived. Healing took time. There is no other way to say these things. But I can tell you that over the past decade, thousands and thousands of days I wanted to feel the sun in my heart and the sun is shining now.

Duffy does not clarify when the event happened, but explains that he decided to speak publicly after contacting a reporter. "He was kind and I felt great when I spoke ... After a few weeks I will publish an interview. If you have questions, I want to answer them there if I can.

The singer adds: ?Maybe you wonder why I didn't use my voice to express the pain I was feeling? I didn't want to show the world the sadness in my eyes. I wondered, how can I sing from the bottom of my heart if I have a broken heart. But slowly the heart went up. ? She sought support and respect for privacy during this period.

Duffy's first album released in 2008, "Rockferry," was a huge success. At the top of the rankings was "Mercy" and a few positions below, the ballad "Warick Avenue." "Rockferry" was the UK's best-selling album for 2018, winning three Brit Awards and a Grammy. Around the world, the album sold over 9 million copies.

In 2010, Duffy released a less successful album titled "Endlessly." Since that year, he has released only one song, "Whole Lot of Love," which was part of the soundtrack to the movie "Legend" (2015).

In 2013, Duffy told Esquire Magazine: ?I took a step back. I thought: I'll slow everything down ... It was so complicated, so much responsibility. I was singing songs to put people to sleep, I wasn't running NASA. All of a sudden I was a product, a venture, a business woman. When I most wanted to be a man. ?

In the year, its producer, Bernard Butler, said: "It was in vain and everything failed ... But I always had a lot of junk, because it was young, from a small village in Wales, and it was thrown into the fire."

In an interview with Marie Claire, in 2011, Duffy noted that all of her heroes were victims of tragedy. "Where I want to be and where I think I'll be [after 20 years] are two very different things. Life will involve me in some tragic event. All the people I've adored - Dusty, Marvin, Edith Piaf - haven't had happy lives. Such is the story. I live it every day as it comes. You are at the mercy of life. ?
