The internet proved to be harsh, but something seems to have happened before Selena took to the stage. Sources for E! News suggest the singer had emotional problems shortly before the performance. Gomez is involved in panic attacks and as a result this may have affected celebrity stoning.
Unfortunately, what happened makes sense. The last time Selena performed at American Music Awards was 2017! So yesterday evening marked her comeback after 2 years and the excitement is completely justified.

Shortly after the performance, Selena rushed to share with her followers photos of the red dress and carpet.
