As you may have read, Alvin Berisha was rescued from the Al-Hol camp and based on some photos provided by Top Channel, the 11-year-old is in safe hands. In the picture, Alvin appears in the company of a man in the Syrian Red Crescent uniform.
What happened?
Albanian.com reports today (Thursday, November 7) that Alvin left the camp four days ago and arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, yesterday.
Three days out of camp he stayed in a safe house in Qamishli, a village in northern Syria.
Today, if no obstacles arise, Alvin will be escorted from the Red Cross to Beirut, Lebanon, and then to Italy, where he will join his father and two sisters.
The operation is being carried out by the Syrian Red Crescent and the International Red Cross.
