Frida Khalo, we often identify him as one of the most influential artists, but very little knows that her life has been filled with mystery since birth.
She was born in 1907, but decided to change her year in 1910, because she wanted to be in touch with the Mexican revolution that began in 1910 to end in 1920.
The baby was never healthy. At age 6, she was diagnosed with polio. As a result, Frida's legs were disproportionate and her life had to limp. One of the feet was much thinner than the other and this defect was trying to cover it by wearing long skirts, even though it could not escape the peers' fists.
Perhaps it was the health problems that prompted her to complete her medical studies at "La Prepatoria" with 35 girls and 1965 boys.
At the age of 18, the artist faced one of the most horrible accidents of her life. According to the doctors, he would not be able to handle the injuries he had taken. Frida spent several weeks in coma, and when he woke up, the first thing he asked for his father was a canvas and a pencil.
He was the man who prepared a special angle for him to paint easily under the conditions he was, even put a closer look on it. Khalo's first painting was a bus. I drew it all with just one pencil. He often said that the paintings gave him the power to live, and the drawing was about to retreat.
"There were two major accidents in my life: one when the bus collided with the tram and the second, Diego!"
Frida met Diego Riviera some years after the accident. He had time to draw and decided to see his paintings by familiar people who had experience in this field. He thought her works were perfect. Among them, there was a spark. The couple married in 1929. She was 22 and he was 43. Diego was not very handsome, but his charm radiated miles away. The extravagant couple were known as "Elephant and Pigeon".
Diego was never a good mate. The first two marriages failed because they betrayed many. Even Frida's marriage was not a happy exception.
She suffered her husband's stories with other women, but she never said anything to her. Perhaps, just because he wanted his attention and love again, she had an outside marriage relationship with a revolutionary named Leon Trotsky. According to some other information, she also had a love story with poet Vladimir Mayakovsky and Mexican singer Chavela Vargas.
Frida remained pregnant several times, but all ended up failing because of some accidents. All she felt was thrown into her canvases in which the pain might seem obvious.
After 10 years of marriage, she discovered that her husband betrayed her sister so she wanted divorce. After this period, the following paintings were the following: Frida with short cut hair and suit of men.
The end of marriage for her was painful and she decided to be surrounded by animals. She loved her too and for a long time she was carrying a dog, monkey or parrot. In 1940, the artist had serious health problems and was hospitalized. Diego appeared and proposed again. She admitted.
The years passed and her condition became worse. Neither did the interventions yield hope, and in 1953, one of the legs lost because of the gangrene. Likewise, in the same year, she had her own personal fair which she attended from her bed.
Frida felt that she would die and in the diary wrote: "I wish the flight to be joyful. And I hope I will never return! "
Her latest paintings were very inspirational. They were called "Viva la Vida". In 1954 she died of pneumonia. In 1955, the home in which he lived returned to the museum, which can be visited today by its fans.
The artist counts over 150 paintings.
Frida was fond of self-portraits and many of them described the difficult life she spent. Many books or movies have been made for him, the most famous being he is called Frida, played by Salma Hayek.
The unique personality and unique history of this artist does not make people today indifferent to it.
