Netflix has released a video of a segment of the audition for the star of the miniseries “Adolescence,” Owen Cooper. The video shows the rising star trying out for the role of 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who, in the series, is arrested on suspicion of murdering a peer. In the video, Owen Cooper, who looks even younger in the audition, is heard saying lines similar to those we saw in the series, which premiered on March 13 and immediately became Netflix’s most-watched production in dozens of countries, according to the broadcaster.
In the clip, the actor's performance is natural and convincing, proving why the series' screenwriter, Stephen Graham, who plays Jamie's father, Eddie Miller, chose him.

The post combines scenes from the film and the audition sequences, where professional changes are noticeable, but again his interpretation does not lose its naturalness.
The series, which airs on Netflix, follows the Millers, an "ordinary family," until their 13-year-old son, Jamie, is arrested for the murder of his classmate. The production has received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.
