Elon Musk has once again become the richest person in the world after surpassing French billionaire Bernard Arnault, who owns the luxury goods empire, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH).
Musk's fortune began to recover and is now worth $192 billion, up $55 billion from the start of the year — while Arnault's fortune has fallen by $5 billion in the past 24 hours. The value of his wealth is 187 billion dollars.
Arnault overtook Elon Musk as the world's richest person in December last year as the value of LVMH shares soared. At the same time, Musk's fortunes plummeted as Tesla's stock price fell on investor fears that Musk had bought Twitter and was focusing on the new business.
Musk's wealth is directly linked to the share prices of Tesla, the electric car maker, of which he owns about 13%. Tesla shares are up 88% since the start of the year.
The third richest person is the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, who has a fortune of about 144 billion dollars.
