
Sir Michael Gambon, known for his role as Dumbledore in the "Harry Potter" saga. He passed away at the age of 82.
"It is with sadness that we announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon. The beloved husband and father, Michael, passed away peacefully in the hospital, next to his daughter Anne and son Fergus", said the family, adding that the actor was suffering from pneumonia.

The Irish-American actor has contributed to cinema for 5 decades in a row. He has won 5 BAFTA awards, two RTS and an Olivier.
He has played in several films: "Layer Cake"; "Page Eight", "Fantastic Mr. Fox", "Sleepy Hollow", "The Omen", etc., but is best known for his role as the headmaster of Hogwarts school in the "Harry Potter" film series.
