Legendary CNN interviewer and moderator Larry King has died at the age of 87. For more than 5 decades, King has interviewed about 50,000 people from all walks of life, from American presidents to fraudsters, ordinary citizens or UFO experts.
The news of the death was confirmed by the son of the famous speaker, who retired from a multi-year career in 2010, after recording more than 6000 episodes of the world-famous program on CNN, "Larry King Live."
The radio and television master was recently being treated for Covid-19, although it is not known whether or not this was the cause of death.
King, raised in Brooklyn was the son of two European immigrants. Although he never attended a university, Larry King began his career early on a local radio station, later continuing with the famous program on CNN for 25 years in a row.
Although he was always dear to people, tragedies in his personal life were not absent. King lost two of his grown children one after the other: his 65-year-old son and daughter, 52.
The way he listened to and talked to his guests without interruption was what set him apart from everyone else.
