Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have announced that they have become parents for the first time, after adopting a baby girl.
Brown, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, shared the news in a social media post, saying they are "incredibly happy" about this new chapter in their lives.
Alongside a sketch of a tree posted on Instagram on Thursday, they wrote:
"This summer we welcomed our sweet daughter through adoption.
We are incredibly excited to begin this beautiful chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy.”
The post, accompanied by the Beatles' song Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da , ended with the words:
“And now, there are three of us.”
Brown, best known for her role as Eleven in the hit Netflix series, and Bongiovi, a model and the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, married in October last year, after getting engaged in 2023.
In a post from that time, alongside photos from the wedding, Bongiovi wrote:
"Forever, your husband."
Brown has previously spoken about her desire to have a large family, and has even mentioned the possibility of adoption. In March, during an interview on the SmartLess podcast , she said:
"Jake knows how important it is to me to have children."
The actress, who recently starred alongside Chris Pratt in the sci-fi film The Electric State , added:
"Of course I want to focus on my career as an actress and producer, but I also consider it very important to start a family, for me personally."
