
In the second edition of her postcast, which aired Wednesday (August 5th), former First Lady Michelle Obama reflected on the changes her family and other families have had to face. as a result of the pandemic.
"I know I'm facing some kind of low-grade depression," she said. "Not only because of the quarantine, but because of the racial differences and just looking at this administration, seeing its hypocrisy, day by day, is disturbing." (referring to the Trump administration)
Obama says he has felt the impact on her sleep as well. She says she wakes up in the middle of the night because she "worries about something, or has an aggravation."
"I have gone through those emotional ups and downs that I think everyone feels, where they just do not feel themselves and sometimes ... there has been a week or so where I had to give in to these emotions and not be so "Be hard on yourself," she said.
Obama said the Black Lives Matter protests and the ongoing unrest that has plagued the country have also affected her mood.
"I have to say, to wake up with the news of how the administration has reacted or not, with the news of how a man of color is being dehumanized, being injured and killed and being unjustly accused of something, is tedious. "It made me feel a weight that I have not felt in a long time in my life," she said.
In a conversation with former NPR presenter Michelle Norris, the former first lady said that during her family time at the White House, which she described as "out of the ordinary," it was important to 'adhered to schedules and is something she used even during the pandemic, especially during the shutdown.

"Barack is in his office, making phone calls, working on his book. I'm in my room, the girls are on their computers, but around five o'clock, we all get together and do a puzzle activity. We just sit down and try to solve a big puzzle with thousands of pieces. ”
After dinner, they play the "spades" card game that former President Barack Obama taught his two daughters.
She said the pandemic is also an opportunity to "decide how you want to appear in the new world, because it will be a new world."
Her greatest hope is that people will return to normalcy and "achieve the best."
