Jennifer Lopez has shown that her future partner should accept her for who she is and fully respect her.
During a performance of her hit, "If You Had My Love," Jennifer Lopez paused to reflect on the meaning of the song's lyrics more than two decades later.
"When I first sang it, I was very young," she told fans, according to a video shared on social media from the concert.
"And I sang it with a lot of hope, but I've sung it over the years, when I've been sad, I've sung it when I've been happy. But today, you know how I sing it? I sing it with strength, because the truth is this: If you wanted my love, you had to earn it," she said, as the audience erupted in applause.

Further, the singer continues with the list, which after several failed marriages and the most recent divorce from Ben Affleck, has become quite long.
“You should treat me right. You should respect me. You should accept me for all that I am. You should love me, if you wanted my love.”
She knows well that love is "a complicated thing."
“You can't have love without heartbreak,” she said. “You can't. That's what you get.”
After finishing the long monologue about love, she did not hesitate to joke about her divorce from Ben Affleck.

During the closing, after many separations, she said that she was okay, and even after each experience she continued to learn and grow.
"We are in our happy era now," the singer said.
