Meriton Mjekiqi congratulated his son, Loari, on his birthday. In a post on Instagram, where father and son appear in the pool, Meritoni writes: "Dad's soul, Loar! Happy birthday, sunshine and light of my eyes. Never forget that daddy loves you," accompanied by emojis of a red heart and king's crown.
Meriton has often spoken about his difficulties in meeting his son, thanks to his not-so-good relationship with the boy's mother. In a confession inside the house of "BBVA 3", the moderator said that the son is autistic.

"I'm inside because of a cause that I've never discussed with the residents inside the house. Loari is one of the other children with autism, that was the reason. If I win, half for the boy and the other for the children with autism. Find the opportunity to apologize for everything. I want to be a part of my son's life. I want to be a part of his development. I would ask him publicly let's put the problems aside and allow my other half to be close to me".
"I have a lot of emotions when I talk about my son because I haven't heard or seen him in months. Not on camera, not up close. I was not present when my son was born. For the first time I sat on my knees and saw him through the phone because we did not have visas to go see him after his birth", he said.
Further, Meritoni added:
"I apologize for not being able to be part of my son's birth. Due to the pandemic and some problems his mother had, I saw the boy when he was 2 years old. I find it very difficult to speak. First meeting, (I saw) a beautiful curly baby. I had problems with the boy's mother and I can't tell".
At the time, there was also a reaction from the boy's mother, Egesta, who wrote on Instagram: "These days I have received endless messages about the recent situation. I have read them all and I am deeply grateful for the kind words and emotional support you have given me. It is not easy when private life is revealed in a format with so much public attention, especially when it comes to a child, but the truth always triumphs."
Later, he posted a photo of Loari, where he said: "Don't worry honey, the truth always wins. Coming soon…”, accompanied by an emoji signifying a bombshell news/detail.
