
Drink water and liquids
Drinking water and other fluids is important when you have the flu. Water helps get rid of accumulated mucus and phlegm. Diarrhea and fever (common flu symptoms) also cause dehydration.

Take a break
It is important to rest and sleep a lot when you have the flu. Sleep helps strengthen the immune system and it helps the body fight the virus. Give sleep a priority.
Consume chicken / vegetable soup
Chicken or vegetable soup is a good way to help you stay hydrated. It also helps to unblock clogged noses as well as prevent sinuses.
Chicken soup is rich in protein and minerals, such as sodium and potassium.
Get enough zinc
Zinc is an important mineral for the immune system because it helps the body produce white blood cells that fight germs. Research shows that zinc can relieve the symptoms of colds and flu.
You can get it at the pharmacy as a tablet, but of course you need to have a daily diet rich in zinc, such as:
- meat
- Lentils
- beans
- Nuts
- seeds
- eggs
Make mouth water with salt
Salt water can soothe the throat. It helps clear the mucous membranes. Simply boil some water and allow to cool until it reaches room temperature. Toss ½ tablespoon of salt.
Drink herbal cracks
Kava herbal teas have antibacterial properties and fight viruses. Recommended teas:

- peppermint tea
- tea with lemon

Take care of air humidity
