Last fall, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a multi-year deal with Netflix. By the time this news was confirmed all we knew was that the couple in collaboration with the platform would be producing different types of projects, which would include documentaries, documentary series, feature films as well as children’s programs. What we didn’t know is the duo surprise: The first project is ready!
Meghan and Harry are currently working on a documentary with several series titled "Heart of Invictus" and will address Invictus Games 2022, an event which was supposed to take place in 2020.
Invictus Games is an international sporting event for the wounded and sick military. The first documentary in the Meghan and Harry series will be dedicated to the Invictus Games - a 7-day sporting event created in 2014 that aims to help war veterans still suffering physical and psychological consequences. "Heart of Invictus" will focus on athletes preparing for the upcoming Games in The Hague, the Netherlands.
The series aims to tell people the stories of the contestants and awaken in them the human power and feeling to come to the aid of others. Prince Harry is expected to appear on camera as the executive producer of the series, for which a release date is not yet known.
The duo has not yet revealed what will be addressed in future productions, but given how sensitive they are to important causes, something tells us that the next project will also be in line with it.
