On the royal family front, we have some good news: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle think 2023 will be the year they reconcile with the rest of the royal family and are planning to work out their problems, albeit problems.
"Next year will be the year of reconciliation," a source told The Sun.
"The Duchess plans to end the royal quarrel", however, there is a deadlock, as everything will depend on Harry's memories in his book, or the documentary on Netflix*, which is expected to include critical situations between King Charles and Camilla". Of course, this will complicate the plans.
*It is not yet known for sure if the documentary will be shown, as Meghan and Harry have denied it, but they have been seen with a whole crew, filming scenes.
"They have always been careful not to criticize the monarch. They have always tried to be respectful of the Queen," a source told The Sun. "It is clear that the reconciliation effort will never work if they criticize the monarch."
"It's also a completely arrogant approach because they're pretending they can win back the trust of dad and William. But that trust is gone forever," the source said, adding: "Harry and Meghan will never be the same. Harry has to remember that now, he is dealing with the head of state, not just his father. If they disrespect the king, they are not only disrespecting the man, but also the institution."
Thus, regardless of the goodwill that Meghan and Harry may have, the authority they have over their head, as well as all statements and actions in public, should not be forgotten.
