On Valentine's Day it became public news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting a second child and the date can be more important than the couple simply "Feast of Love". It turns out that Buckingham Palace made a similar announcement 37 years ago.
"We confirm that Archie will become 'big brother,' " a spokesman for the couple told People on February 14. "Duke and Duchess are very happy to be expecting their second child."
According to the archives of United Press International, this happy news comes 37 years and 1 day after the announcement that Buckingham Palace made about Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
Notice? The couple was then expecting their second child, Prince Harry.
"Both Prince Charles and Princess Diana are happy with the news, as are Queen Philip and all members of the two families," officials said in a statement on February 13, 1984. A day later, February 14, the news was in every first page.
Although it is not known for sure whether it was a conscious choice or not, it remains a sweet coincidence.
