The love of Fatma Haxhialiu and her partner, Përparim Kadriaj, marks its 20th anniversary today, and the reason why their relationship has been so long-lasting was told to us by Fatma herself, with their story like in a fairy tale, which we all grew up dreaming of:
"Two students, with nothing but love who promised to be there for each other. They built everything slowly, holding hands tightly with the belief that love is enough. It wasn't easy, but in stormy times, only those trees with deep roots survive," Fatma wrote on InstaStory.

In her story, Fatma does not talk about "eternity" as some grand promise, but about daily commitment: being there for each other today, and then again tomorrow.
"We have never promised 'eternity', we have promised every day, working hard to be there again the next day. We do not know how long love lasts, but it has never scared us, nor has the future, because we live in the present. We live and experience everything we have now, as if there were no future... And maybe this makes us love each other madly, like those two students once, who now look with pride at how much they dreamed of everything."
Further, with Alban Skënderaj's lyrics from the song "Unë dhe ti" in the background, the moderator shows that this has been exactly their relationship in these two decades: filled with gratitude for each other, even in the most difficult days:

Fatma also wore again the blouse that her partner gave her 20 years ago, at a time when their love was simple and based on sacrifices, as she herself says. A small gesture, but with such great meaning that it brought her partner to tears, as she surprised him by wearing it after so many years. Who's chopping onions now?! :')
