Israeli military confirms identities of two more killed hostages
The Israeli military confirmed on Thursday the identities of the bodies of two more hostages returned by Hamas as part of a ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian militants.
Later in the evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that the bodies belonged to Sahar Baruch and Amiram Cooper, who were kidnapped during the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, the attack that sparked the current conflict.
According to the Israeli military, the bodies of the two hostages were handed over to the Red Cross in Gaza, before being transported to Israel by Israeli troops and identified at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine.
King Charles strips Prince Andrew of all titles and expels him from royal residence
Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that King Charles has stripped his brother, Prince Andrew, of all his titles and expelled him from his royal residence.
The statement said Andrew will now be known only as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, without a princely title.
This decision comes after revelations about his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Five more people arrested in Louvre crown jewel heist
Five more people were arrested overnight in connection with the robbery of the crown jewels at the Louvre Museum, bringing the total number of detainees to seven, the Paris prosecutor's office said.
Speaking to RTL radio, prosecutor Laure Beccuau confirmed that one of the suspects, identified through DNA, is believed to have been part of the group of four who carried out the robbery in broad daylight on October 19.
She did not provide details about the identities of the others, but added that they "may help clarify how the incident occurred."
Massive Russian drone and missile attacks kill three people in Ukraine
Three people, including a 7-year-old girl, were killed overnight by heavy Russian drone and missile strikes, Ukrainian authorities have said.
Ukraine's Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, strongly condemned Moscow's ongoing campaign against the country's energy infrastructure, calling it "systematic energy terrorism" on the eve of winter.
The latest attacks also injured 17 people in the southern Zaporizhia region, including children aged between two and sixteen.
