Love it or hate it, it seems like Y2K fashion is back and it plans to be with us for a long time. It seems we're back to the era of dresses over pants, which, to be honest, we're not too excited about.
It may have seemed like a slightly odd trend a decade ago, but wearing a dress over pants seems to have taken a much COOLER approach this time around.
For stylists, the key to nailing this outfit is contrast. Denim itself is a fairly stiff texture, so it needs to be offset with a very feminine, ethereal or satin dress, perhaps in a neutral or pastel shade.
